Christianity is a monotheistic religion centered on Jesus of Nazareth, known by Christians as Jesus Christ and the New Testament accounts of his life, teachings and actions. With some 2.1 billion adherents, Christianity is the largest religion in the world. Its origins are intertwined with Judaism, with which it shares many Sacred Text and ancient history, more specifically, it shares the Hebrew Bible, known as the Old Testament.
