A Preview of Theology in Africa

Before the twentieth century, several commentators have suggested that Christianity is growing rapidly in Africa, as opposed to other parts of the world. This comment is likely to result; disastrous consequences for the Propagation of the Gospel. Yemi Ladipo1 noted, however, that this reputation is not something African Christian thinkers are always at ease, for the following reasons: (1). This reputation in the world because of African Church of convenience. (2) Thisthe phenomenal growth of the Church in Africa is often used as a reason for continued reliance on foreign funds and personnel. (3). Africa with its diverse cultures and worldviews unique, has its own sources in discussing God. Any guide to the pursuit of an African theology in the Christian tradition must be studied from the perspective of God with an African world view underlying.

Bible, Christian theology has its basis in the Bible and to some extent, systematic theology takes a little influence of ecclesiastical traditions agreed during the age immediately after the resurrection.
