Before the twentieth century, several commentators have suggested that Christianity is growing rapidly in Africa, as opposed to other parts of the world. This comment is likely to result; disastrous consequences for the Propagation of the Gospel. Yemi Ladipo1 noted, however, that this reputation is not something African Christian thinkers are always at ease, for the following reasons: (1). This reputation in the world because of African Church of convenience. (2) Thisthe phenomenal growth of the Church in Africa is often used as a reason for continued reliance on foreign funds and personnel. (3). The image the world has had on the Church in Africa is that of a big baby, growing larger every day, but growing, never give up.
